Microwaves-Good for one thing only!

Above is pictured an old school microwave. Wouldn’t that be a joy in your kitchen. While microwaves have gotten smaller and more pleasing to the eye have they really gotten any healthier for you? This issue is a no-brainer for me. In pretty much every instance the more our food is modified the less healthy it becomes and the more radical the nature of the modification the more unhealthy it becomes. Without even researching it, based on this premise the microwave is a bad way to heat your food. Essentially you are ruining a lot of your food by microwaving it. Yes, this is another instance where my attempt to help you become a healthier person is making your life more complicated. Here is a link to read more. If you want to know more than that just Google it, but suffice it to say that it is not the same as heating your food in a more traditional manner. If you are worried about having a useless piece of plastic in your kitchen it can be used effectively as an over-sized sponge disinfecterator (be sure to wet the sponge before microwaving). Now if that’s not a good use of space I don’t know what is.

  2. I shaved 17 seconds off my old time of 9:37 ! Oh, and I’ve lived without a microwave for at least 6 years! It’s funny when people come to the house and want to “heat something up in the microwave” and I tell them I don’t have one and they look at me like Well how do you heat stuff up then? How about the old fashioned way, in a pan on the stove, duh! It’s just so funny!
