That metallic taste in your mouth…

Ever have that metallic taste in your mouth after Fran or other rigorous exercise? Ever wonder what it is? Me too. Post theories to comments.

  1. I did try to find some stuff on that last night but there was not a definite answer. It is a system for tons of different things.

    All I know is it not a nice taste….I’m glad it only lasted 10 minutes or so.

  4. I have two theories on why you get that taste in your mouth:

    1. When you get hot, the blood comes near teh surface of your skin to cool you off. Maybe when you’re working very intensely, the blood comes to the surface inside your lungs and throat to help cool itself off.

    2. Working that intensely causes you to breath more forcefully which may slightly abraid the throat causing a small amount of blood to be exposed similar to an abrasion on your skin that doesn’t bleed but gets kinda red.

  5. it’s little chunks of my pancreas & large intestine being aspirated through my lung wall, thus reaching the alveoli, which have been known to turn wasted body parts into recyclable pieces of ferrous metal…
