Got Milk?

In the Paleo world dairy is a controversial issue. Technically, it is not a Paleo food source. This is why, when asked, I prefer to use the terminology “real food” when talking about how I eat. I believe whole fat, preferably raw, and especially cultured dairy from grass fed cows has incredible nutrient value to impart to a healthy diet. Well, it seems a growing number of Paleo folks have begun to change their minds in that direction as well. Here is a link from Mark Sisson at Mark’s Daily Apple (one of the best paleo nutrition and general health blogs of all time) on dairy and how he does not see it as a forbidden food. Here is a link from Paleo blogger Dr. Kurt Harris with a similar opinion on dairy and why he doesn’t necessarily agree with Dr. Loren Cordain, author of The Paleo Diet and The Paleo Diet for Athletes, when it comes to dairy. Last but not least, my personal favorite, The Weston A. Price Foundation (a non-Paleo site) sounds off on the issue of raw grass fed dairy.
