Squat Snatches giving me a bit more grief than I expected. I think I underestimated them, and then got thrown off when I had to break it up more than expected. Good workout! Nice pace Ryan.

    just for fun:
Sunday I did a lifting workout I often did before crossfit, lots of 3setsx10reps and some isolated movements. There was no satisfaction in the workout, after 60mins of work I didn’t feel my body responding the way it does after an AdamBrown, Seven, Squat Clean Thrusters, and I didn’t feel “functional stronger”. It didn’t feel useful especially for the amount of time I put in. Sure there’s the occasional crossfit day I don’t feel 100% usage, but I think my days of “traditional” lifting are done (meaning lots of 3×10). Still doing some heavy days of course, but no more isolated ‘go through the motions’ 3×10, long rest interval days for me.

  2. Looking forward to this WOD, but have some big boy stuff to do this morning. 5:15 class for me again. The upside is I will know how fast I have to go if I want to try and beat the morning crew 😉

    Power snatches = 🙂
    Squat snatches = 😦

Ryan, Charity & Brandy you all rock. Your times today are awesome! I gotta get my mornings free again so I can suck up a little of the morning class mojo.

  4. I may be making a ‘party foul’ by posting 3 times today. But I just wanted to say how impressed I was with everyone’s level of effort during the 5:15 class. That was a deceptively hard WOD and I thought everyone rocked it hard. Good work on the squat snatches, 30 of those in one round are brutal even at a relatively low weight.
