  1. Ewww…

  2. Indeed….

  3. C’mon. This is a fun WOD (except for the Sumo Deadlift High Pulls).

  4. I’m with John, looks like some good fun that should help remind you what if feels like to have your heart beat against your ribs.
And if the SumoDHP’s scare you, just do a traditional Sumo intimidation squat to scare off evil spirits before each set to pysche you up, remember to yell something like hakuna matata.
    (see link at abou 1:10)

  5. Make me proud and don’t forget to hook grip on this WOD! It will help tremendously.

  6. 11 rnds + 7 Hang Power Cleans

PR from the last time I did this one a year ago (9 rounds + 5 Thrusters). I couldn’t quite keep up with Ryan. I was able to get through each set of Thrusters and power cleans unbroken, but the Sumo’s DLHP are the devil.

Great tip from Charity on the hook-grip. It makes all the difference in the world on the sumo DLs & power cleans.

Awesome effort by everybody this morning, particularly those that did the 5:15 class TGU/Sots Press WOD last night and then came in did this one 12 hours later. Bravo!

  7. Couldn’t shake off the evil spirits during those Sumo DL HIghgpulls – man, those were tough.

Great to see the Vibrams catching on… Even sweeter how you matched them with the 20# vest, Shawn…..BRUTAL!!!

Eeked out 7 Rounds + 3 Hang Cleans

    5:30 rockin’ it!!

    • We’ll start a trend with those things, we’ve got both body types covered between us. I like them so far (in my wide experience of 2 wods)

Those evil spirits were tougher than I thought. I think I may have not given you and Amy enough credit for your wisdom.

  8. 8 rounds + 4 SDHP Rx’d w/ 20# vest

Holy hang grip… even with the hook grip my forearms were trying to fail (the heavy amounts of sweat probably didn’t help either). Though I’m disappointed I think I let my hang power clean form get lazy and was pulling more than I should.

Always impressed by the effort put in @ CFS (especially this morning’s big group). People were pushing hard all over, and definitely gets me going too. I guarentee about 2 rounds was purely driven by great efforts around me.
