  1. Worked to 175lbs 3RM (20lbs PR from the last 1RM max)
    kind of weird, 165 was very solid, but @ 175 I suddently had much more trouble ‘keeping the rail’. Would love another day of these.

    Julia cranked right along with me, though I’m not sure where the rest of our friends were….. Trying to talk some trash/poke fun, but in friendly fun way that still shows I respect and admire my fellow CFS minions, but am coming up short…. proper joke to come later.

    • It was just you two this morning? Bummer.. Couldn’t wake up in time for this one so I’ll get my shot tomorrow with the OHS..

      Great job on your PR, Shawn!! How are your feet feeling after yesterday’s WOD???

      • I didn’t wear the fivefingers for yesterday’s WOD: a combo of paranoia of re-straining myself before adjusting to them and I want to find out more about the ‘proper barefoot running technique’ before I jump in. Otherwise, I’ve worn them for the other wods, including Linda’s heavy deadlifts, and am quite happy!

        How’d they work for you? I bet you flew right through that WOD!

      • I only did half of what was Rx’d for the WOD yesterday so that made it easy on my feet. Going for a very light jog around Greenlake or sometimes on the treadmill seemed to help me fix my stride from the heel strike to the forefoot strike preferred by most barefoot runners. I’m not quite there yet with feet strength, but wearing the VFFs more often forces me to pay more attention to my technique so I can gradually go harder every time with those suckers on my feet.

        My toes have a tendency of being the only part of my feet to touch the ground whenever I run fast, which were a big “no-no” when running with the VFFs.. I’m trying my best to have my heels come down to the ground after my toes with each stride so the balls of my feet won’t be taking the brunt of the impact..

    • 175 is a solid 3 rep OHS. Way to go!
