155 pound Squat Clean and Jerk, 30 reps

The barbell goes from ground to overhead, passing through a front squat in which the crease of the hip passes below the height of the kneecap. The finish position is with the arms, hips and knees fully extended, arms overhead, with at least a portion of the ear visible in front of the arm. Dropping the barbell is acceptable.

    Did these squat clean-thruster style. 30 seconds faster than my last Grace time with power cleans and push jerks.

    Squat cleans were not as bad as the overhead portion of this WOD. Tough!

    Good work 9:15 crew. Big crowd today and everyone was doing a good job of challenging themselves today.

  3. Nice times guys. I was wondering about using the thrusters, think it was better? John: did you do the jerk or a push press.

    • The thrusters are the fastest way to go in my opinion. That is what I used for all but 2 or 3 reps and I jerked those.

      I just kinda lost the ‘pop’ in the top of my thruster as time went on, but I never really lost my ability to get the initial squat clean.
