Blackened Fish Tacos on Butter Lettuce Wraps

This was our meal at the fire station the other day. J-Ro of CrossFit All In in Lake Stevens and I tag teamed this meal. Check out the recipe here.

With a continuously running clock, do one pull-up and one handstand push-up the first minute, two pull-ups and two handstand push-ups the second minute, three pull-ups and three handstand push-ups the third minute… continuing as long as you are able. When you cannot complete the required number of reps for either exercise, continue only with the other as long as you are able.

Use as many sets in any order each minute as needed.

Post number of minutes successfully completed for each exercise to comments. Their sum is your score.

  1. Pull ups with red band and HSPU with 35# plate and 2 ab mats. I only made it through 6:00 for both failed at two reps into the 7th min. Score of 12.

  2. Wow Brooke! 63 double unders?? Bow down to Washington.

  3. 21 min. Rx’d

Made it through 5 rounds of the hspu’s, and 16 complete rounds 10 of the pull ups.

  4. 21 scaled
    6 rounds HSPU w/ 1 abmat
    16 rounds Pull Ups
Definitely harder, but in a very good way the combo of HSPU+PU is great. I felt strong-ish, but I don’t think I was kipping efficiently, and by round 13ish had zero push away from the bar at the top, oiy.

  5. 25 scaled
15 rounds HSPU with the equivalent of 1 ab mat (2 Video cassettes)
10 rounds pullups with red band trying to kip, but the pullup bar was too close to the wall so I kept hitting myself.

I love HSPUs ๐Ÿ™‚ This was a great first workout @school, but I miss you all!

Hey Jeff, check out my blog post for today–it features CF on the go ๐Ÿ™‚
