Labor Day Belated!

Here is the Labor Day blog post…finally! Sorry for the delay. The smoked meat, the WOD, the fellowship…all epic! Here are the rest of the pics from Glenn. Thanks for hosting Glenn and Marguerite.

  3. Shawn I’m thinking it should have felt heavy since the bar was bending! Dang the 5:30am crew is impressive. I don’t remember my weights (good thing we write these down in class), but they were well under 100. Squats are a challenge for me so this workout was good. I got some pointers on squat with heavier weights and some practice in!

  4. Got to lift weights with my girl before she heads off to college tomorrow. Trying to keep up with her and Maggie might be asking too much! Broke 112 lbs on the back squats which was a 10 lb PR for me. 5 lb PR on front squats. Even on overhead squats. Good day! Thanks Jeff for letting us go past or allotted time.

    Great watching Maggie put up some impressive numbers.

    Best part of the morning was discovering Cheek Eggs in the fridge. Score!

  6. Darn my non flexible shoulders. OHS’s are so challenging especially when you do them correctly. I don’t remember all the numbers as I progressed, only the final numbers.
    OHS-95#

    Those OHS got fun when balancing got squirrely – almost like the water-filled PVC pipe, but not nearly as bad.

  9. First workout in 2 1/2 weeks (school is all consuming). Did it at home and everything felt heavy. Can’t wait to get back into the gym. Worked up to:

    FS: 205 (15lb PR!)
    BS: 247 (failed at 265)
