If you can’t do unassisted pull ups, practice pull ups during this time. Use as little band as you can. If you can’t kip yet, take this time to learn.

  1. 20#vest+53KB 73# worked up to that but could only do one, surprised, first time doing weighted Pull ups because of shoulders.

    12:40 w/ 20# vest and 75# Press, good weights on both. PUs started failing at 3rd rnd, Press at 4th. Cruel to do weighted PUs on the same day 🙂
    Very pleased with the shoulder recovery.
    (Taryn at Swim Nats, 2 School records 100 Fly, 200 IM and 2 or 3 Personal Bests – fun officiating on Deck for me)

  2. 26lbs strict pull up, just couldn’t get that legitimate last inch on 36 or 31

    19:20–strict pull up no weight
    95# press (still building back up on knee)
    sacrificed intensity today to get some strict pull up volume, so tried to make them perfect everytime to get the most out of it. Thanks Ryan for letting me get them done.
    the Legend of Jim is real, I saw him! I had to trick him like a leprechaun but I saw him!

  3. Strict weighted pullup: 70lbs (7 lb PR!)
    Bonus WOD: 23:56 rx’d

    I had nothing left for that bonus and did all the pullups as single reps. Overall though, it was a cool workout and I look forward to doing it again.

  4. Weighted Pull Up: 50#
    9:19 With 20# PU for first round, 15# thereafter. 75# Press.
    I probably should have gone up at least five pounds on the press. The first two rounds were easy and after that it got more difficult, but I never set the bar down once I picked it up. Pull ups got difficult very quickly.

  5. 53# weighted pull up (18# pr) attempted 75 and could not get my chin over bar, attempted 60# and same issue. maybe should have made a faster jump.

    11:10 on bonus wod

    scaled 95# press ( should have done rx weight ) blew through all 5 rounds.
    20# vest for pull ups
