John Rhodes

Check out this video of John Rhodes, winner of The Biggest Loser, Season 12. Talk about passionate. Inspiring! I’m thinking CrossFit isn’t that weird anymore, one might even call it mainstream!

  1. 22:13 – scaled
    (R1 -Rx, R2 & R3 – 1abmat)

This was an 11min PR over last May (and 1 less abmat on R2&3!). This is the kind of workout PR where you can really see improvement over 10 months. Very rewarding. Very exciting!

Great job to all @5:30…tough workout. Jimmy was boss on the rings…and Shawn was relentless…way to push through…your PU looked fresh at the end. Perfect form!

    Go Darklifters!

  2. 18:26
    1 abmat for HSPU

Way to push through Shawn! I admire your determination. Ben’s HSPU were awesome! He made them look to easy…

  3. 38:09 scaled (19wks)
    1 abmat 1st round, 1abmat+10# plate 2nd+3rd
started stupid w/ rx’d hspu’s… quickly scaled correctly.
I was feeling uber-motivated to rx the ring dips, not ego wise but just feeling very ambitious to take on a challenge [to me at least]. 2’s and some 1’s first round and then 1’s. Don’t learn from me for optimal scaling today, but I’m glad I slugged through it with (i think) legitimate reps, just need arms IN when fatigued!
Much thanks to Matt and Jimmy for all of the guidance and patience in moving better and with Ben the encouragement throughout.

Welcome new ladies K & K (already forgot full names). Speaking of ladies… did Ellen get hit by another car?

  4. Didn’t realize as I was off in my own world this morning how excellent you (Jimmy & Ben) did. Half my time Jimmy and Ben, I guess there goes the idea of resting/tapering some before the Open wod. You definitely didn’t scale easy.
I love the attitude in Michelle’s quote[ish]. “this band hurts to do ring dips on. Guess that’s motivation to get stronger and get off the band.”

  5. 16:38
    1 abmat 1 10# plate for hspu’s
    Holy shoulders!
