You get 1 rep EVERY time you touch a line with your hand (touch with alternating hands). The distance between the lines will be 24′ (four rubber flooring mat lengths).

  1. Only Jim, Shawn and myself showed up this morning so we did Bench Press instead of Press.

    Had to match the intense old school lift with some equally powerfull music. Ryan came through big time with some Gun’s N Roses. (Welcome to the Jungle) For a brief moment I was back to a 17 yr old testosterone filled Linebacker!!! Fun times!

  2. I am torn between either bulking up before the 91 Day Challenge or trying to make healthy choices. Knowing JV I better eat right as no one knows what the metrics will be.

    Will there be a weigh in? Is there going to be a tape measure around to take measurements? Maybe a football style combine with many different tasks that everyone will have to complete. Write down the results then recheck in 91 days.

    Maybe we are going to butcher a grass fed animal on site and pass out organ meat? Nah, that will probably be Sunday.

    What do you guys think? Any intel from watching JV drag new equipment into CFS?

    • I’m guessing we have to kill our food with our bare hands in open country. Encourages us to eat the entire animal since we don’t want to have to repeat the process (getting our Omega-3!), get our long met-con on the searching for the animal, and the short high intensity power for when we catch it, wrestle it down and kill it.

      Functional fitness for real food!

    • Or maybe it could be like when Farley Mowat was trying to prove to a skeptical science community that a large mammal could survive on mice alone.
      I have the dvd, one of my favorite movies if only for the scenary!

  3. I want to be like the Jims so joined for the bench press (rarely is it logistically an option) since we only had 3 people with similar strength. The music inspiration was awesome!

    Double Unders were very ugly for my first day back on them. Very ugly. Not that I’m great at shuttle runs, but really wanted to do them. They’re so good for you and not common in CrossFit (not easy logistically).

    Proud of the Jims with their running effort. Flat on backs afterwards is a good side.

    The shuttle run smoked my glutes and low back!
