91 Day Challenge

July 28th marks the end of the 91 day challenge and the fitness improvements on both the performance and the body comp sides are clearly evident. The competition will be fierce come the end of July. Tell us what your plans are for the final stretch.  We want to hear what is working and to what lengths you are going to win this thing. Post your answers to comments.

  1. 305# 30# PR, felt real good but it was only 1RM 2 would have been….tough. 1st time I’ve had a PR Friday

    I’m having trouble doing more than normal for the challenge, week-ends seem so busy. My plan seems to be not to have one, I’m going to have to play dirty during the final workout

  2. Kept it lighter and just did sets of 2.
    Got up to 295 x 2, and staid there.

    Big props to Ellen for working very hard to get hip crease below knee with near 1RM. A year ago that range of motion seemed impossible with weight.

    • I would have liked to see the bar with that much weight. So your squats, Jimmy’s weighted ring dips, Cam’s muscle ups, an interesting exercise in photoshop.oh wait isn’t that Chris Spealler?

    • By the way, I’m claiming a sugar PR. It’s been no sugar for one week and I honestly don’t think I’ve ever done that despite being fully convinced sugar is one of the worst things for your body. Kinda pathetic but I’ll take it. 😀

      Sure would’ve liked sugar free from the begining of the challenge but at least here’s hoping for a second week.

      • That’s a sugar”free” PR! I need something to give up…but in my case I think it’s motivation to get off my pattootie and start doubles, I’m thinking it’s the only way I’ll get ahead of you studs! There’s been some great improvements in the past couple of months from those who’ve reported their workouts. I don’t see many of you but I’m impressed.

    • Thanks for your help Shawn – you have seen me struggle with the depth from the beginning, for the first time i think i really did it.
