  1. Please note that even though at the games the athletes (who had already competed for 4 days) did power cleans for this WOD, the Rx’d version is still squat cleans for this WOD.

    Stone Dagger Shannon would never do power cleans when he did Elizabeth.

  2. 10:08 w/ 105#, cleans felt pretty good going into squat – I’ve had trouble before – must have been going low enough I was feeling the thigh burn by the end. Did 11/10 then broke into a few or dropped between lifts. Rings broken from start into 5 with a few 2 during 9 to keep the pace up.

    Stone’s dad looked great on the cleans…

    Tried to plan ring dips from the beginning to not burn out. Singles from the start, with 5 sec rests, then 8 sec rests, then 10 sec rests as I was beat! Think it worked as well it could for me today. Great energy in the gym this morning!

  5. 13:20 squat cleans started with 95#, three reps in dropped to 85#. Used red band for dips. Thanks, Matt, for knee reminders and Jeff for pushing me through the last 9 squat cleans.

    A :03 pr over a year ago = weak sauce. šŸ˜¦ My vacation lifestyle isn’t good for my crossfitting.

    • Ill try that sauce even if it is only :03, a PR is a PR. Own it! šŸ™‚

      • Typo: Ill take a :03 PR any day, even if it is only :03= weak sauce. I dont know how to make the red cheeks smiley face.

    105# Cleans

    I finally felt like I got “unstuck” from scaling to 95# on the cleans. Almost every clean workout I’ve done with high reps has been 95, so I’m glad to be moving up. Form felt good, and I probably could have gone a little quicker, especially on the ring dips.

    • I know the feeling, I want badly to move above the ladies weight for these upper lifts. Progress can be so slow: 2 steps forward, 1 back. Good job!

  10. 9:15 Scaled. I was ready to tear it up “Brad Style” today at home with 95# but after the first three cleans I felt a weird pain/strain in my left ankle so i stopped. I was going to throw in the towel then thought WWJVD? so I stretched it out for a few and dropped the weight way down to 53.5# . I went ahead and worked on form and moving well. used a big green band for the ring dips (Love the way it pulls hair out of your legs during reps)

    Did not have it today (2+ min slower then last one). Shoulder did not like r dips.

    Also prepping for Sprint Tri on Sunday so earlier in the day did 6 mi sprint on bike, followed by 1.5 mi run.
