When two little Steinlets are away the oldest Stein’s go out and eat!
Here’s one of my fave salads which receives: two thumbs up! The Mediterranean Kitchen, located in Kirkland, specializes in Middle Eastern cuisine. Once you navigate through the pitas, saffron rice, lentil soups, and shawarmas (sidebar: you might want to try this, honestly who isn’t intrigued by shawarma?) you’ll find the true legit gem…the gyro salad. It’s filled with tons of lamb, feta cheese, kalamata olives, and crisp greens. The only caveat is that your dining partner needs to eat the same– there’s tons of alluring garlic in the dressing.
Make sure you go here!

I am not usually an adventurous eater but that looks great! MCG and I will have to make a Kirkland Mediterranean Kitchen run. If it has the Stein seal of approval it’s got to be good.
It’s worth it! Prices are great too!
Do you like it better than the Kafe Neo gyro salad? If so, it will be worth the drive because I love that salad!

I can’t remember if I’ve had Kafe Neo’s gyro salad. I’ve recently switched to their gyro plate because I always get worried their salad isn’t going to be as good as Mediterrean Kitchen’s. If you’re driving through, by, or stuck in traffic pull off and get it. It’s worth it. Also, there’s a TJ’s close by (12632 120th Ave NE Kirkland) on the other side of the freeway.
They give you pita, but you don’t even need it. The salad is full of protein and it tastes so great you don’t feel like you’re missing out on anything.
